Whether you're planning a portrait session, a family photoshoot, an event, or a photo day with your pets, MichellePix brings a relaxed, documentary-style approach to every shoot across Thurston County, Washington. Based in Lacey, I regularly photograph clients throughout Olympia, Tumwater, Yelm, Rainier, Tenino, and Rochester — capturing high school seniors, growing families, milestone celebrations, community events, and beloved pets in their natural element. Every session starts with a planning conversation so we can choose a location and approach that fits your story, followed by a private online gallery where you can view, favorite, and order your finished images. Outside Thurston County? I'm happy to travel — Tacoma, Centralia, and the greater South Sound are all easy day trips, with mileage quoted upfront so there are never surprises on your invoice.

Booking
A signed agreement and a 50% retainer hold your date; the balance is due on the day of the shoot. The retainer is non-refundable but transfers if you reschedule (see below).
Life happens — one free reschedule with at least 48 hours' notice. Weather-related moves for outdoor shoots are always free.
A sneak peek of 3–5 images within 48 hours. Full galleries are delivered in about 1–2 weeks for portraits and 2–3 weeks for events.
Through your own private online gallery — view, favorite, and download your included images, and order prints or extras directly.
Shoots anywhere in Thurston County — Olympia, Lacey, Tumwater, Yelm, Rainier, Tenino, Rochester — are always included, no travel fee. Outside the county, I charge 75¢ per round-trip mile from Thurston County, based on the 2026 IRS standard business mileage rate (72.5¢/mile). It's quoted upfront when you book, so there are never surprises. Tacoma, Centralia, and the coast are all very doable.
